Why Is Everyone So Surprised?

The rest of Europe may be stunned by this assassination, but I can’t say I’m really bothered.

It goes without saying that murder is wrong, but - without making excuses for what happened - he was a racist who would’ve probably cracked a smile if a Muslim was killed in simiar circumstances.
